Our Story
Better ComRel, Better Communities - the realization that triggered our action.
In 2022, a stakeholders’ forum was organized to review the impact of the Social Development Management Program (SDMP) in the community.
In the forum, it was explained that while the companies in the area have satisfactorily complied with the regulatory requirements in terms of community programs (amounting to more than Php 200 Million in a span of 20 years) most of the initiatives implemented were not sustained at a certain limit, and the rich data remained untapped.
This reality spurred a series of realizations and conversations among the founders of the Philippine Community RelationsDevelopment and Resource Center (CRC or ComRelCenter) that ultimately led to the shared resolve to transform the situation to something better.
In 2025,
CRC was officially incorporated as a social enterprise that will work towards elevating the practice of community relations –
to grow the communities,
improve the skills and competencies of community relations practitioners,
and sustain commitment of industries to support meaningful development interventions substantiated by fact, data, and supported by research.
